Triangle's Leadership and Training Weekend Makes an Impact On Young Member Triangle's 2010 Leadership and Training Weekend is quickly approaching January 15-17, 2010. This program has grown tremendously having a record 170 participants last year. One of them being Brother Nicolaas Ostendorf hou11 whose letter to the Board reflects his initial exposure to becoming a Triangle leader: "I just wanted to send a thank you for your help in making the Leadership Academy possible. I feel that this past weekend has helped to improve my knowledge of how to be a great president, and how to be the best leader that I can be. I feel that this knowledge will also excel me in my field of Mechanical Engineering, helping me know how to lead other engineers of my field toward success." Triangle undergraduate members participating in the 2009 Leadership and Training Weekend at Camp Jameson in Indianapolis Throughout this class I learned many, if not every, kind of experience I may go through as a chapter president. It also taught me the basic "nuts and bolts" of how to be a president and good leader. I learned, in depth, what the rules of the Risk Management Policy are; and I must say this did strike fear into me. It did this mainly because of the fact that as president, I am liable for all things that happen with the chapter, even if I was not at the event a problem occurs at. But I have put this fear behind me and am now striving to become a great leader.
